W-Gravel is an ambitious initiative by Wörthersee-Rosental Tourismus GmbH to establish a world-class “all-terrain cycling cosmos” in Austria. This wasn’t just a community site; it was a strategic digital platform to position the region as a premier gravel cycling destination.
The project began with a distinctive, pixel-inspired design that mirrored the modular and exploratory spirit of gravel riding. My task was to transform this vision into a powerful, scalable website that the tourism team could manage and grow for years to come.
I engineered a custom content structure using Advanced Custom Fields, giving the client effortless control over routes, high-impact media, and event information. The result is a robust digital hub that not only captures the adventurous soul of gravel cycling but also serves as a scalable foundation for a major tourism brand.
